More About Mia: A classically trained recitalist, Mia’s passion for music infuses her ministry, including her pulpit duties as a preacher, teacher, and worship leader. An artist advocate committed to creating an equitable and just society, Mia uses the power of music to mediate healing, build community, and inspire social change.

Fun Things I’ve Done: Snorkeling the Palancar Reef in Cozumel, Mexico. I need more fun in my life.

Things I Love: Sunsets on the beach, winery tours with sister friends, quality time with family, summers on the Maine coast, Christmas at the lake, listening to music.

Still Yet to Do: A Sacred Pilgrimage to Africa, explore Europe with friends, travel to all 50 states (18 to go), build my dream home on the beach or a lake.

Favorite Accomplishments: Call back audition at the Juilliard School of Music, Performed as a chorus member and the feature role of Lilly in New York City Opera’s 2000 and 2002 productions of Porgy and Bess.
